More and more third world nations are making deals with the Chinese for resources and trade. Especially rogue nations that lack human rights standards we've come to expect in the world. When the US puts "strings attached" to trade deals, money, and loans it makes with these nations, they rarely follow the treaty or deal, and more often than not they do not pay back the loans from the UN, World Bank, or United States either.
Worse, when China witnesses this friction, they run over to make a deal with the government promising them deals that the Chinese have no intention of making good on, in trade for raw materials and often oil. The third world dictators, or nation-states, see this as a bargaining chip with the USA, and play them off against the Chinese.
Where is this happening? Well, this is happening in many countries around the Globe, it's occurring in Africa, Central America, South America, Middle East, Pacific Islands, everywhere, and even the Russians are playing that card. What is unfortunate is that it is causing problems in the world with regards to human rights.
In fact, we've been so upset about it, that recently we put out an article; "Does China's Foreign Policy Lack Moral Grounding; Yes," because this is something that needs to be discussed. The Chinese are undeterred and unconcerned with human rights in other nations. Of course, this ought to surprise no one, because of their own on-going and even recent human rights violations.
So, whereas, many third world nation-states hoop and holler over this, that, or the other thing, when it comes to the USA, they are also the first folks to put their hand out for aid, or ask the US to protect them from a neighboring nation or a guerrilla overthrow or revolution from within. I find all this laughable and interesting on any given particular day.
